Ok guys ive done the neck throughs and the bolt on neck builds but never tackled the set neck. I just finished a build and was at my local lumber supplier and they had some nice black limba so i got some of that and mahogany for the body, and im going with a 5 piece black limba/ walnut neck... i book matched the top and got everything glued and cut out... now the two things ive never done is gonna be binding and set neck...so be prepared for some questions ....

Well, that is a nice start! Some sort of clear finish I hope?

Working on the neck....now a question, im getting bindin from stewmac and was wondering your suggestion on how to glue it. Dhould i use straight acetone, melt some binding in acetone. Or ca or dome kind of other glue?

I just use CA with no problems, but if I could import the proper binding glue (Air cargo restrictions ) from SM then I would use that
Acetone might be better for fretboard binding as you wouldn't get any glue bleeding in your fret slots

CA goes off very quickly. Can be both a blessing and a curse. It also can set/bleed into wood meaning your cleanup job is trickier.
I tend to use acetone.....you can melt some of the binding into it so that if fills a bit too as it sets.
I also tape the binding in place then just run along the interface with a pipette of the acetone.

Thanks guys both good suggestions...ill try both on a scrap piece and see the difference in fit and finish
