Starting to get ticked at Ashdown!

i ordered my bass amp on Feb 3rd and Woodwind&Brasswind said it was on back order and would arrive to them from Ashdown on the 14th...then i recieved an email later that said they would have it on the 28th....NOW i just recieved an e-mail and they said they should recieve it in their warehouse by March 11th!!!:smack: :smack: :smack: i'm really tempted to cancel the whole thing and find something else....i really wanted this amp though! i thought it was a cool little rig for the $'s, but i need to be practicing and i've been without a bass amp for well over a year now!!! ugggghhhh! there were a few other small practice rigs that i thought were ok but this little bugger is too cool...

i guess i'm just venting it's also hard to make sure i don't spend the money that i set aside for it since my account won't be charged till they get it in...i've already had to dip into it once?!:smack:

just hold out man, I know you will love that amp, ashdown make some of my favourite bass amps! Waiting for gear is tough, but it will be worth it!

For the record, it MIGHT be WWBW, not ashdown. I ordered some supplies from them for my euph in October - common stuff mind you - and i finally cancelled my order from them in January. I proceeded to go to the local music store and buy all the stuff I needed - so it's not like the stuff wasn't available.

i would think that...however, when i was deciding where to order it from i checked everyplace there was when i started finding out they were all waiting on shipments from Ashdown and nobody had it in stock...but i thought no biggie, i can wait a couple weeks, but now...it'll be close to April before i get it! :smack:

I would cancel... 4 weeks longer than a wuoted time of 2 sweeks is not something I´m willing to discuss. Someone dropped the ball, but that´s not your problem.

Ashdown is Normally pretty quick, though.... VNever worked with your retailer, but I´ll be t you a ten spot that he´s the one with the hole in his glove that dropped the fly

*edit* Just read post directly above mine...interesting, an Ashdown backlog..... Then again it´s right after NAMM, so not totally unlikely....

So...I should be canceling my order for the ZenDrive?

For the record, they don't treat their endorsees much better. My brother is endorsed by them and he had to wait some stupid length of time for his amp from them.

the Zendrive is a completely different animal..made by hand to order...we're talking about a production model amp...not something that a maker has to build for each order
