stereo cab ohmage stuff...

ok... so I'm now in possession of a Mesa 4x12 cab rated for 8 ohms... and with 4 ohm stereo outputs.

I have a 100 watt 4 ohm Libra (solid state) that I want to plug in to it...

So if I put it in one of the stereo outputs, will this be ok? What will that even do? only use 2 speakers, or what? does it matter what the speakers are rated

(I have a Fender Tonemaster that actually WILL work with it so I don't worry, but I just want to know what will explode if I plug the libra in)

thanks.

Re: stereo cab ohmage stuff...

just plug into one of the 4 ohm stereo inputs...you'll be fine. You'll only run two speakers though.

You could plug it into the 8 ohm jack, but you wont get as much output from your amp. Either way is safe.
