It looks crazy! The thing is, I'm a bit lost on how to play it. What would you do? That string skipping is killing me...

does he string skip? or does he pick the notes on the B string with a different finger?

I think he does it all. Probably string skipping and/or hybrid picking.

I got to see him live solo and with Kansas. He makes it seem so effortless.

Yup... effortless. :yell: He's just smiling while playing the vilest arpeggio I've ever seen.

Steve Morse is insane at guitar. He plays that arpeggio so effortlessly, he does the same with tumeni notes.

not only does he string skip, he alternate picks these. For some more scary playing, listen to the song 'Cascades' from Deep Purple- along these lines too. Morse is one monster.

Mr Morse is Mr Alternate picking!!
He uses his picks and fingers.....or just pick, either way the rest of us can only blink and watch
