Steve, remember this one?

It was about 8 years ago that I picked this one up from a buddy up north.
Was playing it tonight and it still passes muster.

I don't think I remember them having a green grille. 200 watts though! Should be loud enough to cut through all that tinnitus. :P

I painted the grill to match the power button, also added some green LED lights inside it to make it glow. I had a matching painted Randall cabinet too, which I ended up painting red and selling to my other guitarist..

Well, I can still see it. I've never really been able to decipher the hand writing.

I just recently got a new pedal from Masta C. A Horse Zip amp. I think that I'm going to try it by itself into this Randall.
Judging from how it sounds into my Picovalve, it should be interesting. Especially on the gain channel.

Well, here's the setup.
It was worth the $20.
One could gig with it in a smaller room. And I think that the amp has a direct out for a place with a house PA.
Gives a nice crunch on the clean channel where it's set now. Adds just just a bit more hair and low chunk to the gain channels. And I haven't even turned the master past 2.

Ok, so I recorded a little sound check. You can't hear me talking because the auto gain on the recorder didn't register me. When you listen to the recording, you'll know why.
Zip Amp boosting the Randall into a 2x12, ported, with an Eminece Swamp Thang/Texas Heat combo.
Enjoy.

Just fired it up for a while. Seeing as how my wife isn't home right now, I turned the master volume up to 6.
Wow. And the Zip amp's adjustment knobs show a lot of usable range. Had a bit of feedback on the highest gain setting of the Randall. Just backing off the treble a hair on the Zip amp cured it.

That was my guitar too ha ha! You have great taste!

Plugged this in tonight, to drown out the sound of the "banda" coming from across the street. Turned the master to ~3, and lo and behold, I couldn't hear the "banda" anymore, until I stopped playing.

Yesterday, I brought it outside so that it could breathe better.
