Stickers anyone?

I'm sure this has been done before, but who likes stickers on guitars? Let's see them! Here are some of mine

As you can see, I got given a bunch of goldfinger stickers haha

Re: Stickers anyone?

Nice dude, I grew up listening to a lot of those bands. It's not punk rock if you don't have stickers on your guitar!

I no longer put stickers on any of mine, but there was a time when I did.

Re: Stickers anyone?

Those goldfinger stickers must be a dime a dozen, my former bandmate had them on both guitars.

Re: Stickers anyone?

No stickers on my Jackson, though. She's awesome without stickers.

Re: Stickers anyone?

I have to admit I love stickers on the right guitar.
Here are 2 currently stickered guitars.

Not a very good picture but...

Re: Stickers anyone?

I used to sticker EVERYTHING I had

I haven't lately, but if the right sticker came along, I'm not against it or anything.
A friend who got hired as a "tour guitarist", the band rented him some equipment. The rental guys actually told him to cover the guitar in stickers, since they'd protect the finish somewhat and "sticker residue is easier to get out than beer, sweat and funk."

This thread is inspiring. Might have to apply some to my bullet at some point...

Do sticker inlays count?

A friend did this some years ago with vinyl decals:

He also cut the board for the block inlays. That was a real '84 USA Gibson.
Before that, I did this using sheets of DIY sticker paper:

Jackson PC-1 neck with Kanji "onlays" made from DIY window decals.

Another Window Decal - the image is from my brother's Mardi Gras poster from 2001:

More Window Decalery - bomb "onlays" and a stencil logo. The body came that way.

Relative failure at making a transfer using a window decal and mod podge:

Not really a sticker, but held on with glue: Mustaine Pro with a stopbar/TOM conversion and covered in snakeskin cotton fabric:

I got no excuse here - couldn't do circular masks to save my life

The pink was original, the black was Krylon.

A concept I was working on with a Jackson Mark Morton in Primer:

Those were just paper, not stickers, but the plan was to make stickers once I got the layout I wanted.

Re: Stickers anyone?

A Transplants sticker and a Hellcats Records sticker, but no Rancid sticker?? What the hell OP? Back when I was a young punk, my guitars looked about like that. These days I'm old and like the look of wood grain. Haha. I actually saw The Bouncing Souls and NoFX a few years ago, from what I can remember, it was an amazing show. I'll see if I can find any pictures of my old guitars to post.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any pictures of my first guitar (which was covered in stickers), but I found a picture of my second one, which I did all that to about 12? years ago. Back before I decided to take care of my things.

This video has my sweet glow in the dark dinosaur stickered Devlin, before I refinished it. Also note the awesome No Sleep Records sticker. You may want to turn your sound off before clicking that.

Re: Stickers anyone?

When I was a young punker I had an SG that looked pretty much like that.....with some of the same stickers!
Now I am an old punker and the guitars are a little too expensive to sticker, but I have been playing skate punk again for a few years now; such fun!

Re: Stickers anyone?

Generally, no. But I had a few stickers and decals on my first guitar, an '85 MIJ Strat which is undergoing a makeover now. There was a Ramones one on my neck plate (which I trimmed down from a much larger sticker), and a Mickey Mouse one on the back of the body. There might have been a few more too, though I don't remember. I also had some waterslide decals on the headstock. I had a tiny green heart and yellow propeller spinner from a model of a Nazi fighter plane. Those were on the back ball of the headstock. I also had a very small 48-star U.S.A. flag on the front ball of the headstock, taken from a model of a WWII ship. All of those headstock decals got wiped out when I stripped the neck. Here is all that's left (they've been there 20 years now):
