Still doing alittle with pedals.....

Well yeah....another overdrive....but this one is somewhat different from the usual ones we fool around with..
The controls are like this, level, variable mids, wave(tone), drive.
This one is in its final stages of developement, just made a quick recording of it here at home.

Was made for anything between very dark and fat to more crisp and open tones...started a few years ago on this one, Thomas and me then had various ideas we tested over time, then it had a long rest, a few months ago I thought it would be fun to revive it again....and it will most likely show up in the near future in our pedal line.
Basicly it was made for my own amusement...but evolved into this fun thing that had some potential to it...lol
Sounds better on real amps to me....but it worked ok for a demo of sorts.

Re: Still doing alittle with pedals.....

And a picture of it...not that it will look anything like this when it is done.
No boost, no clean out, no two switches....and on the inside it is a birds nest, cut traces, and other odd items:eyecrazy:
Oh and a autowah of sorts is also in the works by now....hits a local fair later this month....see what the natives think...haha oh my.

Re: Still doing alittle with pedals.....

It sounds really nice. It certainly seems like it would have a lot of use to me. It has a really nice version of some of the sounds I would like to be able to create that is fore sure!

Re: Still doing alittle with pedals.....

Just two days ago I was discussing my desire for a pedal similar to this with Ratherdashing!

I think it would be cool if the adjustable mid boost was switchable. That would, in effect, give you two presets ...

Edit: Your post says no two switches, but in the photo is appears that the boost is switchable!?!?

Thanks guys....it is not a midboost, it is a variable mid control with a toneknob attached to it....and I deliberatly going against the trend with options galore;)
I have always liked the idea of having an od that could cover some ground.
And keep it simple.

Re: Still doing alittle with pedals.....

sounds like some really cool projects!!!

Re: Still doing alittle with pedals.....

Several have said that there are only so many OD circuits to play with. Is this a variant of the toobskreemer?

Re: Still doing alittle with pedals.....

Yep....but kinda not put together like a normal TS...+-12V for starters....no frigging 4558 OP-amp...ours is a quad anyways, and the filtering is kinda different, but op-amp and clippers...check....the drive would actually still produce dirt without the clippers though.

Re: Still doing alittle with pedals.....

Thanks:)
...That is the midrange knob...as said it is a prototype, the layout will be completly different when we have finished it.
Got a few more clips of it coming up.
