Still jonesing for a freaking Floyded Tele!!! (Part 2)

I'm determined to finish a freaking Floyd Tele since I have EVERYTHING other than a body...including the Warmoth Neck (below), OFR with 37mm Big Brass Block, either EMG JH Set or a Jazz/RTM TB Set and standard Tele Top Mount Control Plate...




Although I really liked the Tone Bomb Single Humbucker Tele Body I bought a while back...CNC precision, good wood and nice looking grain...I wanted twin humbuckers as I like that neck tone and eventually sold the Tone Bomb Single Humbucker Tele Body.

Recently I got in touch with Peter @ Tone Bomb and worked out an order for a One Piece Ash Dual Humbucker Tele Body with Strat Forearm Contour on front and Tummy Cut on back. Definitely recommend him/his products - easy to work with, quality woods and a fine product all around at a great price.

Just got pics of the finished product and a DHL Shipping Notice today (7.1 lbs packaged) so hopefully it will arrive tomorrow and this weekend I can start lemon oiling it prior to a Nitrocellulose Gloss Natural Finish. Couple of pics of the new/incoming body below...

Looks great man. There's two guitars that I G.A.S. for a Floyd' version. A Tele and a Double cut LP Special. Can't wait to see progress pics.

Ha! Yeah? I love that Wayne of yours as you know. Of course I did have the ones below as a format as well...Natual Finish Maple Board one was a Vintage Kramer Neck and Christopher Woods One Piece Ash Body.

Remind me, why did you sell that one? It was a cracking guitar.... However, I do prefer the grain on the new body to be honest. And the neck is F in awesome.

Thanks! For $150.00 with hardware the Tele neck was steal IMHO. It's a wild one for sure and it's a Warmoth. As to selling the Kramer Tele...I was going through the beginnings of a nasty divorce; sold off a few things in paring down including the Kramer Tele and the '88 BCR Assassin w/Dan Lawrence Graffiti Graphic.

Body arrived!!! Very happy with the quality. Quick mock up. Gonna be a "Ten Pound Tele"!

That's gonna look real cool. I'm biased though coz it looks similar to mine. I'd like to build something like that but with a trans-black finish, that would look pretty mean with the black hardware. I once saw a Levinson Blade Strat type with a black finish but the grain was silver if that makes sense... I wish I'd have bought that guitar as I've never seen another.

Thanks! Well I'm just as biased as you are on the Ash Tele thing because of my old Kramer Mutt and yours as well! I know what you're talking about with the Levinson; I've seen a couple of Teles with a Black Sandblasted Finishes, one w/Red Grain the other with Silver over an Ash Body and both just looked incredible.

This has kind of taken a back seat to helping with the liquidation of my friends gear and some work travel, but, I ordered a set of Floyd Rose Posts/Anchors for it today which was the only thing I was missing. Will post some pics once I've go the finish oiled up prior to Nitro Spraying.
