To get a more mid focussed tone you can possibly bring both neck and bridge pickups closer to the strings, possibly by adjusting the screws by 0.5 turn, or 1 full turn. I think that raising the WLH will make it sound warmer overall.
Also consider the cable you use. Typically you will get a brighter tone with a 10' low-capacitance cable, although in some cases it could sound smoother to the ears.
