STOLEN PRS ALERT

So on my way from NJ to my apt in Del yesterday, I stopped by Philly to see a friend for a little while. I parked my car on a normal street in a decent area. Very well lit, lots of other cars parked, Apartments and condos in the area.

I come back a few hours later and my car is gone. Inside the trunk was my beloved 1990 Custom 24, my Mesa Mark IV amp, laptop, clothes, etc.

I am trying to sort everything out now, but I am seriously screwed right now. My car is an older one, I suppose it was easier to break into, but all my stuff was in the trunk, nothing would draw anyone to it. Locked all the doors, etc.

Anyways, the Serial Number is: 0 9768. Cherry Sunburst, 10 top, birds. It has dings all over, does not have the truss rod cover or trem backplate on. Has black graphite PRS saddles, a pretty good chip on the headstock tip.

Also the 5 way knob is replaced with a knurled gold knob.

If anyone sees this pop up, please contact me!! Andre.aklian@gmail.com

Re: STOLEN PRS ALERT

Terrible news... sorry bro, I hope everything works out for you...

You did check to make sure it didn't just get towed instead tho? I know that may sound like a stupid question but stranger things have happened... My car got towed when I lived out in San Diego from MY registered parking spot in MY apartment complex while I was deployed to Iraq. Maybe that's what happened... one can only hope.

Re: STOLEN PRS ALERT

Such bad news. Man, my heart goes out to you. That kinda stuff makes me so angry when I hear about it. It's such a horrible commentary on our society and human nature in general.

I hope JordanM82 is right. Check with the police to see if it was indeed towed. If so, you'll have some fines and fees to pay, but getting out of impound is a whole lot better than not having any of it.

Good luck to you. In any case, hope you get your stuff back.

Re: STOLEN PRS ALERT

Thanks guys. Yea, I checked with the parking authority to make sure it wasnt towed, but they did not have the car on file. I will try again today or tomorrow, but I am pretty sure it was in a good area for parking, no markings or signs or driveways.

Insurance should cover things, I'll find out exactly how much in a week or 2.

Re: STOLEN PRS ALERT

So sorry to hear this.. Hope you have a favorable outcome. Looks like the intent was to jack the car and not the gear, so the gear will probably end up in a pawn shop

Re: STOLEN PRS ALERT

that seriously sucks dude. i hope you find your stuff. sounds like philly hasn't improved since i left south jersey. definitely check area pawn shops. i'm sure you've already contacted local law enforcement. i don't know what pawn/secondhand resale law is like in PA, but i'm pretty sure in most states it's most favorable for their businesses when pawn owners to cooperate with local authorities when it's brought to their attention something they've acquired is hot.
