PRS MT15 head review

One of the best Shoot out videos with the MT 15 the 5150II and the Mashall DSL 20.
Having owned and still owning several other very nice 13 to 30 watt compact amps( Mesa F 30 and Subway Rocket, Zinly 25 watt Blue Velvet, Jet City 22H and 22 H custom heads just to name a few) I really agree with this review.

Yeah, the product page here shows it being switchable between 15 and 7 watts. I don't think people realize the amount of volume these lunchbox heads are capable of producing.

A 100 watt amp is only twice as loud as a 10 watt amp. You can get hella loud with lower wattages, especially if you pair them with an efficient speaker.

I was able to keep up (barely), with a 5w amp into a 1x12 with a speaker rated at 103.1dbs, in a small room with a set of drums.

I checked out the MT15 today while I was running around. Nice amp, ton of gain, gets loud quick, big sounding cleans. If I could've gotten some dirt from the clean side I might have grabbed one. I like the form factor and it was definitely fun to play but I just don't need that kind of clean side.

I could get plenty of dirt with the clean side.

Mine won't really get dirty on the clean side. I run it with the boost pulled and it's a nice warm round clean with a little hair when you dig in but won't really break up. I run a TS 9 on just the clean side at lower gain for a nice smooth bluesy break up and it works very very well. It's the only way I use a dirt box to get some hair on the clean side and works very very well with the MT 15.

I tried, the boost gave it a little hair but nothing else.

Yep same with my MT 15. Pulling the boost makes the clean side much bigger more compressed and smoother but it won't really break up. I always run the boost pulled on the clean side with mine.
Here is mine live running just a compressor on the cleans for sustain in front with the boost pulled
