Stranded wire or solid wire? Does it matter?

Does it matter if you use stranded or solid wire for pickup wiring? I have a huge roll of solid copper wire. Can I use this for wiring, or should I get the stranded wire?

you can definitely use it, but something along the lines of 22awg stranded would be much easier to use.

Stranded wires are more durable,

You can use solid wire, but it isn't very felxible and has a tendency to break, which makes it hard to track down problems.
