The Fender black engine-turned and black pearl pickguards look way cool and add some nice texture to the look, especially with black pickup covers and black or chrome Tele-style knobs. :cool3: I almost bought a hardtail Strat like that -- still kick myself occasionally for passing on it.

My little bro is doing something similar to his Parts-o-caster. He's doing a SSS satin finish Aluminum pickguard on a black strat, Tele knobs, black pickup covers, satin nickel finish Wilkinson 6 point trem, and Satin nickel finished Sperzel tuners.
