How are YAH?
i have this strat and i´m not sure what woods, MODEL etc....
The previous Owner said that it is a MIJ FENDER STRATOCASTER REISSUE 1950.

But he scratched the Name painted in the ROUNDED part of the headstock.
can you identify It to me please?
i´m plannning o install some duncans OR DIMARZIOS on it but i have to know what wood are IN .

from the serial Number, i know that it is from 1994.
i saw some other guitars similar to mines here on the forum but what is written in the ROunded part of the headstock is ORIGINAL CONTOUR BODY, and in my headstock theres no that lot of words, it looks like "Squier Series"

AH, on the headstock it says too, FENDER STRATOCASTER WITH SYNCRONIZED TREMOLO.

Sounds like a Japanese Squier to me. Those '50 RI Japan had the Squier Series logo on headstock.

Does it has the F-style tuners ? Similar to these ? (body only)

If so, I bet a 20$ its a Japan Squier. Pretty good guitars!

turn it over and look at were the neck meets the body. If it is Japanese it should say made in japan. what does it say on the back of the headstock? It doesn't look like a squire. the clues to what this guitar is should be on either the back of the headstock, or the heel of the neck. looks like it will make a nice guitar.

It says MADE IN JAPAN
and the serial number is :

Yeah, I don't think it's a Squier either. Just from the serial # alone it sounds like it's either a '93 or '94 Made in Japan Strat. Here's the chart on mrgearhead.com with the MIJ info:

wicked! i love my MIJ strat, the decal on the headstock there is exactly the same as mine! (i've just sat and compared them real carefully).. the scratched off bit would have said 'original contour body'...

theyre nice guitars man, mines sunburst but from the same year

Some early 90's Japan Strat were known as the Squier Series, nothing like the cheap Squiers from China and such. Look at this neck below, JoeBelley has this for sale. It has the Made In Japan sticker near the neck heel, and the Squier Series logo. Same tuners btw.

the decal on the headstock is different, and the tuners too.
it´s like THAMES pic, but without the floyd rose DECAL.

you can see that at one time it did say squier on that light area on the front of the headstock. It looks like a 1990. I have no idea what the body wood is. the regular jap strat is usually alder. The Japanese made really good strats. some CTS pots. SD pups and you ore on your way. If you want a heavier tone try a Hot Rails in the bridge position.

I recommened Duncan pups for this Strat, Not Dimarzio.
