Strat Mod help

Can I use the old tone bot as the blender pot in this:

Will this even work? Am I suposed to connect the tone pots to the other side of the 5-way, or no?

should the tone pot still be connected to the other side of the 5-way? Ground what off? The pot? (sorry im kinda new to all this)

so even though it says to ground the blender pot, i shouldn't?
