Well... there comes time in a boy's life when he gotta build him up a Strat! So I've pretty much narrowed it down to which one I like most, but just for fun I want to see how badly everyone on the forum hates my designs!:D

Most likely these would be built form a hodgepodge of used Fender parts and Warmoth.

1.)

This one is kind of automatic for me with the hardtail and maple neck. I'm undecided toying with the idea of the orange Mustang style Comp. Stripe, but for some reason the light orange paint grabs me. (yeah.... I know the pickups look kind of f*cked up... :smack: )

2.)
blue.jpg

"The normal one". I actually saw this one in my dreams... aside from the flat silver knobs it isn't too offensive... Always did like daphne blue

3.)
green.jpg

"The one Seafoamer will like":D

4.)

red.jpg

Another "Normal" one aside from the gold trim and painted headstock.

Be brutal! I know I don't got no style... (and sorry to Hamerplyer for making another damn poll)

my god man. Give me a few minutes to get my eyesight back!

Haha :laugh2:

Don't do a matching headstock on a strat... please!

How about a purple one?

Hey isn't that that zoey model chick? She's used to live next door to my girlfriend and they went to high school together. I know her real name and her brother and all. LOL.

I think that's her brother's guitar actually. :laugh2: Well she doesn't really count as a "model" but come to think of it I actually am friends with a bunch of models. It's really weird. Most of them live in NYC now though.

Re: Strat Pickin' Time!!!

Actually wait a minute. I think we can forgive the guy. He's colour blind.

He thinks that yellow one is orange ;)

:D

Re: Strat Pickin' Time!!!

I say, the blue one, with lipstick tubes instead of the regular pickups, and a maple neck and a blue headstock.

Re: Strat Pickin' Time!!!

I like the blue one the best.

nuntius: Where in the world did you get that picture of Becker holding a kitty? I want the whole series!

:D
yellow? whatever do you mean? On my crappy LCD laptop monitor that color looks like light orange... well, there's my excuse:D if you see them the way I saw them they would look good, every one of them :D

Like I said, the blue one was in a dream I had... and in the dream it had a rosewood fretboard :smack: As for the matching headstocks, I love the way the matching stock looks on my jag, and kind of wanted something along those lines.

Curly's got some class blue strats;)

I think it's between yellow (orange) and blue now. OR a purple kramer with tits attatched! :laugh2:

Seriously, I love the comp-strat, despite its inherent tackiness (it gives off a cool surfer vibe to me), but the blue one just looks... a bit unthreatening for my taste. And with a mapleboard (as much as I love them) it seems to lack a bit visually...

keep em coming! :fing25:

Re: Strat Pickin' Time!!!

i like 1 since i own a yellow strat but # 2 is also sweet...here's my vote...

hardtail daphne blue (relic) with a relic maple neck with a large 70's headstock. a complete oddball that would look sweet!!

you read my mind... I'm actually playing around kisekae right now with a few other ideas, and that is one of them.

Mike, is there a site where your gear pics are? You periodically post pictures of your axes and I get orgasms... Anywhere to see all of them in the same place would be convenient:D

Re: Strat Pickin' Time!!!

i'll whip up a small site for them later for ya...but i'll be posting new pics after i eat of my tele that is back from getting inlay work done...so maybe i'll just add pics of the whole gang in that thread.

Re: Strat Pickin' Time!!!

Where did you go to make the pics? I like the blue one, and the yellow one is alright with the exception of the orange stripes.
Rock On :smoker:
