The 3rd one does look eerily like my main weapon of choice, but, out of those pics, the top one gets my endorsement.

Hey isn't that that zoey model chick? She's used to live next door to my girlfriend and they went to high school together. I know her real name and her brother and all. LOL.

I can't find a picture of it on the net, but in the last few guitar worlds there's been an ad for Illusion Guitars that has a girl with a green whig crouching behind a green gargoyle shaped guitar. Anyway, she's my mom's best friend's daughter. As soon as she gets back form college I'm going over there. ;)

I say blue.... Basically because I've got one like that, and I like it. :)

And YES, it has a rosewood fingerboard. :P

Re: Strat Pickin' Time!!!

if you're gonna age the finish, take the yellow(oange?) finish. If not ,go with the blue.
btw,are you gonna age it?

hehe... actually, XSSCIVE recommended the opposite...:D

in any case, I'm not having a relic body unless it's a naturally old body, or someone's gotten to it before me... couldn't bring myself to "relic" a new guitar. I just just prefer letting it happen naturally...:D

Anyways... the whole idea for the reliced orange/yellow comp stripe guitar came from a really sexy old Mustang Bass I saw... But I'm not sure reliccing for the sake of it is my cup of tea.

So I've pretty much decided on the orange yellow when I build a strat... it's a lonely side, but I wouldn't pick any other!

I did do a bit of retooling on kisekae and came up with some variants... I like this one

I've always like sharkfin inlays (a holdover from my days as a Rick worshipping bass player:D). Understood they're a bit hard to see on the maple, but I've been trying to ease myself off of looking at the inlays to tell where I am... and when I do grab for the inlays, I usually look at the side fretboard one's instead... I think it's a nice subtle effect I got going...

I also figure a bit on the trem seeing as the trem on my Jag (ANY Jag) is borderline useless for anything other than a warble, and my other 2 guitars are hardtails.

And enter the blindcaster!!!:D

thanks for all the interest:D

wow that daphne blue one looks bad a$$. Me likey. I was looking at a warmoth body that color in the showcase too.

Re: Strat Pickin' Time!!!

You guys are all way off base on this. A two color burst (black around the edges, lighter in the middle) is the way to go. If you must, I would choose Daphne Blue. The upper bout stripes have to go, as they are hideous. I would go with dot inlays on the neck.

I'm a fan of the vintage look. Can you tell? lol
