Strat pickup recommendations for this clean punk tone?

I'm building an alder Strat and the different pickups and combinations on sale are giving me option paralysis, hopefully you guys can help me out.

What kind of pickups would you recommend for this punk tone? I really love that clean/slightly overdriven sound, but I've only ever owned a Strat with noiseless single coils which were really sterile, and I don't have the ears or brain to attach the sound to a particular pickup. These are the distortion tones on the album, if that helps - 1 2

I have a spare Duncan JB and '59, but I'm doubtful they'd get me in the ballpark, even when split. Or would they? :knockedou

Gibson SG. JB split would be okay for that.

I remember there was a pedal that you could set to make your sound lo-fi. Can't remember which one it was but it was expensive haha.

Bridge or middle position with true single coils will get you there. I'd recommend the ssl 2,2,6 set.

Yeah I found the record like a month ago, and I just can't stop listening to it. Definitely in my top 3 favourite LPs. UGHHHHHHH. It's just got that Nirvana/Black Flag-type of sprezzatura to it. I will love this tone until I die, sir
