Strat Project *BIG PICS* From Hoss' Body

Heres a few pics of my nearly finished strat project that used hosses red and blue watercolor body. Its loaded with a QP bridge and an Alnico 2 Pro neck and in the middle is a RW/RP pup I had lying around. It was a present for my sisters birthday and let me tell ya she loved it.

The paint scheme isn't my cup of tea, but from teh pics, I can't fault the workmanship at all. Looks good, bro! Pretty cool for given you sister a guitar, too. Could be a fun guitar for a girl to play.

i kind of like the finish.. make it a blue instead of the pink and we're talking bout a killer =) .. but i dont know if it'd look good that way =P

where'd you get the neck? warmoth? i'm thinking of building my own axe more and more but dont know where to get the parts.. warmoth is kind of expencive and from their page all i could figure out is that they dont offer 24 fret necks (without sacrificing the neck pup or whatever) and that a finaly guitar would e quite expencive *sigh*

That paint job is spot on marble. It looks like it should weigh 150 lbs! :saeek:

The neck is from an old strat copy of mine that I had taken apart and never put together. I stripped the finish and reshaped the neck a bit. Look on ebay, they have tons of necks at good prices and I have seen quite a few warmoths on there at great prices.

i cant buy anything off of ebay.. maybe if zerb can help me get stuff from ebay.de, but i dont know ..

Great guitar man! hope you enjoy it a lot. The finnish it is distintive for sure... Not my favorite, but is not me who has to like it!!!

I have observed that the neck pickup doesnt have cover. It isn't this a bit risky for the pickup? If you hit the bobbing you could ruin the pickup...
