Strat Pup for Slash type tones

My nephew has an Epiphone Strat that needs a new bridge Pup. He likes Slash's tone and is unsure on what to get. He needs a single coil. My first guess would be the APS-2. Would that suffice?

i had cool rails in my strat's neck position and imo it sounds closer to slash's tone thn the APS-2 in my strat,

Hmm.... well, the only real way to get Slash's tone is with a Les Paul and a humbucker

Seriously, if it's a strat-type guitar, you ain't gonna get THAT close to his tone. You can get 'buckers that fit single-coil slots, which could at least get him closer, though.

I manage to get the Sweet Child type of tone thru my neck SSL-1, a Morley wah in a fixed position, which thickens and boosts the sound, and the 3rd channel of my Marshall. It's not perfect, but it's pretty good.

Cool Rails---neck and bridge will get you pretty close.
