I'm getting my APS-2 single next week, and in my last thread about it, someone mentioned that Albert Lee's bridge pickup had a bottomplate almost like a Tele.
Just how thick is that thing and what other materials besides brass and steel can be used if so?

I think you can get a base plate from Lindy Fralin. I know Lew has mentioned them in the past. Don't know about the dimensions I'm afraid. Alternatively get a Twangbanger, already has the plate on it.

I am getting a Twangerbanger, it is only a matter of time, but it would be fun to mod a few normal singlecoils, just to hear the effect
