my 2007 Fender MIM weighs 8 lbs, my 2009 Squier 50s CV weighs 6.7 lbs.
both have alder bodies.

9 lbs is a heavy stratocaster. I've never weighed any of my guitars.

Not sure...I need to get my refrigerant scales out of the truck and weight all my guitars.
I can tell you it's a bit on the heavy side IMO for a Strat...

Yeah she is a bit heavy. The ma and pop guitar shop couldn't sell her because she was ' a fatty ' and the strat snobs went for the lighter ones....what can I say i'm a chubby chaser!!
