Strat Wiring Help

I have a Squire/Strat, 3 single pickups and replaced the pots with CTS and an Oak Grigsby 5-way switch.

Does anyone know if this diagram is correct for this switch?

https://docs.google.com/gview?embed...om/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/3S_5W_1V_2T.pdf

Checked a few times, poked about with my multi-meter (very basic knowledge of how to use one) and cannot figured out where I went wrong, but, getting 0 sound. Wondering if the diagram maybe for a different switch?

Anyone have a diagram for a Oak Gigsby 5-Way? if the above link isn't one already?

Re: Strat Wiring Help

That's how I wire mine, except that I move the 2nd tone pot one lug over in order to have a tone control on the bridge.

Check all your solder joints.

Re: Strat Wiring Help

Also look at the jack......making sure you have the connections the right way around there.

Re: Strat Wiring Help

I would be willing to bet you missed the little gray jumper from the pickup side to the volume pot side that is very difficult to see in the drawing.

Re: Strat Wiring Help

^^^^ What he said. Also, there are two versions of 5-way. Make sure that gray jumper is connecting the two "common" terminals.

Re: Strat Wiring Help

Hopefully the jack... grey jumper is there but agreed, almost missed it the first time.

Just pulled it out of the Squire, swapping guts around... got a Tri-Burst that I'm painting Antique Green and doing a bit of a relic with. Swapped the pickguard and covers to another colour. Be a week before I have it together again because painting it Friday. Can't seem to find bad solder joints, went through the diagram numerous times... guess have to wait for re-assembly.
