Somebody's got to stop this madman! LOL! I just had my Boss SD-1 modded by John, and he did a fantastic job. Initially I was a little skeptical about the whole process; as I liked the sound of the pedal "out-of-the-box", so to speak. But when I plugged it in to my JCM800, the tone was pure bliss to my ears. I noticed increased performance with the level control--it really made my picking technique come alive; almost like using a compressor, but without the signal squash. And for what it costs to have him do this, it's truly a great value. It was also refreshing to see that John's work is meticulous. There wasn't a scratch or mar anywhere to be seen. Even the screwheads were perfect! In conclusion, do yourself a favor, and get a pedal modded by John, you wont be disappointed. John, I'm gonna drink a 6-pk (@ least) in your honor tonite! Great job man!
