I was also thinking that since the fretboard is scalloped you could have holes in the fretboard and have adjustable polepieces for the pickups. That should help with the neck and middle sounding weak because they are so far way from the strings and the scalloping should be deep enough to stop the strings from coming into contact with the poles.

I only need like 17 frets. I just don't get it.

Yeah i know i am mostly the same but its just a bit of fun making something like this. Its not like i think i have mastered 24 frets and need something more its just because i like things a little different and oddball..
