Stratmosphere

Re: Stratmosphere

I dig Strats man, and that was nice tone from the very beginning. What are you running that guitar through? Very classy playing.

Re: Stratmosphere

Thanks man, that's through an MI Audio Blue Boy into a Fender Super Champ.

Re: Stratmosphere

Hey man, that sounds great. A lot of bite but smooth at the same time. I checked out some of your other tracks and they sound great too!

First off: great playing - from a twentysomething to you: phrasing is something that comes with time, eh?

critically: Has the same tone deficiencies I experience with my Stratocaster and amplification

There is a small detail being left out here. Your strat is a '96, his is a '68. And are we listening to the same track? Because I dont hear anything wrong with the tone.

Thanks man, I've been enjoying doing some recording at home and coming up with these tracks. It's good to have a forum of guitar players to run them by, for "feedback!"

I think phrasing is something that comes from the heart, but resisting the desire to be flash and look for the beauty comes with time.

We work within our deficiencies! This was a rare bridge pickup experiment for me, I'm generally more of a neck pickup guy. But it's good to explore and experiment!

Wow - didn't sound like bridge pickup to me - shows what I know! :friday:

Right on, it's always good to try something different!

I'm seeing more and more that tone is subjective... truthfully, I like the sound of all guitars and I like playing them all. IMO, there was nothing lacking in that... it reminded me of the tone on "Passion" by The Hellecasters (Gypsy Kings cover).
