Stratocaster Pickup Suggestions?

Hey everybody, I have a strat that I would like to put new pickups in. I am looking for something that I can get a nice crunch out of and smooth it out with the correct settings. I am really skeptical on what would be best as I will be in a band that plays Green Day style music, so that brings up the question of HSS configuration or keep SSS. All recommendations are welcome, Thanks.

What amp? Sounds like you want HSS

If you want to go with a HSS set up you could go with a JB in the bridge and a pair of APS or SSLs in the neck and middle.

If you want to keep it SSS then you have the option of using three APS or SSLs or a Single coil size JB in the bridge or any other single coil size humbucker.

Well currently I am plugging into a Fender Pro-Junior (American) as it is loud already.

Is there any tonal difference between a single coil JB and a standard size JB?

I have not used the JBs but from my reading on the forum they sound very different. Don't forget to check out the lil 59. It might get you where you want to go.
