im not really a gibson fan, not that theyre bad i just dont like em all that much, i really like the stratstyle now... H/S/S would probably be my best bet

I like strats a lot, but I prefer G&L strat style guitars. The S-500, is my favorite madel, followed by the Comanche.

+1 on G&L. Plus if the money is tight, the Tribute series are great value, with US G&L pickups.

ive never really seen any in the stores... and on MF and M123 they have a tele for 489 then jumps to 1000... theres no WAY i can do that

Big Bolck Strat this looks like a really hot one.

I thought the same one. The Big Block I tried out kinda felt cheap, setup was alright but still the guitar didnt have a solid feel to it.

I was sad cause I LOVE the look.

Yeah, but even the cheaper Tributes are quality instruments, with great hardware and US pickups.
