i just gave up with my 3 knob strat...the volume knob was driving me nuts and i would hit it all the time...so i got a truss head machine screw and washer and nut in black which is about the size of the top of a typical plastic fender tophat knob and covers the hole perfectly. so i stuck that where the volume was and rewired the guitar for one volume, one tone and it's much better to play now and it's nice to have a tone on the bridge also!

this is the type of machine screw i used (with a washer and nut on the bottom)...

it's so sad to see so many stratters move astray lol! Pick above the neck pickup and quit palm muting! LOL J/k! That's how i play anyway.

above the neck pickup and no palm muting? no palm muting...i might as well just quit playing guitar lol...i play metal and punk so i'm palm muting 70% of the time lol :laugh2: that's why most of my guitars are 2 pickup and i only have one 3 pickup strat left.
