No ignoring, just better understanding and the required clarification should people be confused after. You should have used IME. That covers your style and the way you play as its a physical based acronym. IMO means you are saying your thought is that for any experience or playing style that action style should suit.

Oh, and the legato bit should have been in the same sentence too - it reads almost as a separate thought as used in your post. So 'IME for legato......'. That gives you the meaning you originally wanted.

I set the action on my guitars by ear. If there is any buzzing on any fret from any string I raise the action a little until the buzz is gone. Usually my high E string is around 2 mm from the highest fret. Too low of an action can cause string buzz especially if you're bending the strings and that depends on the neck radius. I like Jackson's compound radius fret board...great for string bending without buzzing out.
