Are they vibrating when the string is played open or when you are playing a fretted note?

Fretted note, only on open if im really really hammering on it.

Here are your list of possible problems, Action too low, or needs a truss rod adjustment. Which strings are giving you trouble, what kind of bridge do you have, and did this just start? If it was the string vibrating on a open note, you would have a problem with the nut.

Well, i wouldnt want the action ny higher thats for sure, its a (Licensed)FR bridge foating, my low E and A are giving me the most trouble but B is also giving me some.

Hmm, i just looked on the guitar and the way i have it tuned thoes strings are tuned with the screwed on the bridge going in the furthest, maybe i should retune it.

I am not really catching the point of you last post but, alot of the times really low action can lead to these issues. Change of seasons has alot to do with it alot of the time. Sometimes you also have to comprimise the low action vs. buzz free playing.

Well, the point was, it makes that string lower...

hard to tell w/out the gtr here, but u could try Lefty loosie-ing the truss rod a 1/4 inch turn.

Are you talking about the saddles on the bridge? If so, you will probally wont want to mess with them because your intonation will be way off afterwards.

I was having that problem a couple of months ago. I wanted a string change and the jack was giving me problems. Simple issues that I could've fixed myself (now). I have an epiphone standard Les Paul model. As most of you know, th bridge saddle and bridge comes off. The guy freaked and said "this isnt supposed to happen" he lowered the acton so much that 10 minutes of playing gave me hand cramps. Plus, I was getting major buzzing. A couple of months later I took up lessons again and I told my teacher. He raised the action and raised the pick-up height to get rid of most of the buzzing. Most of it is gone. I think my guitar might need a truss-rod adjustment, plus a thousand other things.

But anyway, I was always told that when you play an open note and the buzz sounds like its coming from the bridge pick-up its a bridge problem. Or, if the buzz is coming from the neck pick-up its a truss-rod problem. I wouldnt mess with the action of the bridge because of what theodie said and because if you lower the strings too much it'll be worse. If my statement above about the bridge buzzing and neck buzzing is correct you should see whats wrong first. If you're still not sure, take it to someone who can fix it for you. Just know some of the basics about your guitar. You could be getting a oaf fixing yours like I did. But, most of my repair jobs have been pleasant.

Its not the pickups, its the guitar buzzing its self, unpluged. I might take it in sometime, might need the frets fillied or what ever, because i have a feeling thats what it was, i scraped the frets with my finger nails a little and it noticeably helped, so maybe thats what ill have done.

Hey guys, how do you know when you need to adjust your truss-rod?

When you have too much or too little relief. Fret the low E string at the first and last frets, then check the distance between the 8th fret and the string. There should be about enough space to slip a business card or two in between. If there's too much space, tighten the truss rod. If there's too little, loosen it. It also depends on the player. If you really hammer the strings when you play, you need more relief to keep the strings from buzzing. If you play with a light touch, you can get away with less relief.
