Strings , keep going back to the originals.

Hello all ,
Over the years I have tried just about every kind of string made for electric guitar. What I find funny no matter which guitar I own , I always go back to Fender Strings.
Anyone know if Fender make the strings or have them made by someone else? They don't sound like anyone else's I know that for sure.

I don't know about the guitar strings but in the bass world I keep Fender's 8250 on my AmStd Precision. They changed how they look and what silk they have (probably also made by D'Addario now) but the thing is, the construction isn't the same as D'Addario's cheaper strings. The 8250s have nickel plated winds on a round core, which isn't very common. And they have an E string tapered at the bridge.

They are made to Fenders specs. 250 and 150 strings are very different from the Dad branded equivqlent (xl, and whatever the pure nickel wraps are).
