Struggling to find a replacement bridge - uncommon post spacing (72.4mm)

Hi all,

I've been looking for a replacement tune-o-matic bridge that seems to have a very uncommon post spacing of 72.4mm (2.85"), using the larger (6mm?) post size.

Pretty much everything out there seems to be 74mm/2 29/32".

I really want to avoid redrilling stud holes if I can help it.

The holy grail would be a bridge to these specs with a 14" saddle radius, roller saddles and available in black, but I doubt that even exists.

Any suggestions please, or even if there's something out there that's somewhat adjustable I'd be open to that too.

thanks a ton for any suggestions.

Hi there,

Is there any update on how this story from 2019? Here is my nerve-wrecking modding story:

- I recently wanted to swap original Tune-o-Matic bridge (Jackson® TOM-Style) to Graph Tech TOM bridge in my newly bought Jackson King V X-Series electric guitar (Ian Scott signature, Indonesia made, S/N ICJ2071009 = Cort-made guitar)
- it turned out Graph Tech ResoMax TOM is not fitting the post spacing, even if theoretically it should (standard 74 mm post/stud spacing)!
- I started to precisely measure original Tune-o-Matic bridge (using digital caliper) and post spacing looks strange, it is around 72.4mm - 72.5mm (?!) It is nowhere close to any standard (74 mm, 73.5 mm, 72 mm)

Question: is there anything you could suggest as a solution for that non-standard post spacing? Any good-quality TOM bridge with that 72.4mm - 72.5mm spacing?

Update from Sep 22, 2021:
- Jackson rep is not having any TOM specs for those Cort-made guitars, to at least double-confirm post/stud spacing is 72.4mm
- not sure if Kluson solution of conversion post would work for Cort-made guitar that has 72.4mm spacing. This website here is saying that Samick bridges are having 72mm spacing and this is where Kluson conversion may help: https://samick.fandom.com/wiki/Wide_Tune-O-Matic

Thanks!
