Re: Struttin' SGs

Don't have any pictures of my Epiphone SG to post, but I'm looking for recommendations on pickups. I mostly play punk rock and heavy metal, and would love some help.

Re: Struttin' SGs

Here's my boy, it's a Gordon Smith that I've fitted with a Brobucker/ A2Pn and it's bloody marvellous! I could go on about how it's better than a Gibson but I'm not fool hardy or naive, it isn't. It isn't built as well, it certainly doesn't look as good BUT it plays and sounds fantastic and more importantly it suits me better than any other SG I've played. I discovered that the reason for this is because the neck is set further down the body meaning that it's shorter than a Gibson. It balances perfectly and it doesn't feel awkward playing chords on the first few fret positions. The sound is simply superb, honestly I have played quite a few gigs and have taken some great guitars that have had to stay on their stands all night... I love this one. I'm seriously of thinking of spending some cash on a pro-paint job but we'll see. Here it is....
