i'm looking for a set of monitors and my budget is around the 300-400$ mark (for a set)... soo, i'm looking for the entryway of studio monitors.
i found some in the local stores and maybe someone here knows anything about em, in terms of sound quality and reliability.
i dont have a huge mixing board with a massive output amp, so i think i should go for a pair of actives.
there is one that caught my eye, which is the Alesis M-1MKII. my other options are Proel, Phonic, Galien Krueger, i think also Hartke/Samson and possibly Laney.
if anybody else has any suggestions as to; which ones from these manufacturers are good (if any) and, if there are any other manufacturers i should be looking at, in that price range.
thanks
