As always, I start jonesing for a new overdrive/boost pedal. I sell off the one I'm currently getting bored with and shell out the bucks for the new one. Thanks Gearjoneser.

Just ordered a Klon. :smack:

Scott, do you really not like the SD Twin Tube, or is it just not your flavor? Hell, for I guy who really doesn't like OD that much, you sure do get some good ****e.

350, 10 week wait. Twin tube is a cool pedal, but i"m wanting more of the boost thing to push my amps into meltdown.

the klon is likely a decent investment ... I wish he still made the gold finish though

BK Butler is also making tube drivers again, FWIW

I was talking to gearjoneser about pedals and he goes and says no matter what pedal i use, once i step on teh klon, that's it...

bill actually asked me if I'd be cool with either color. By the time he gets ready to buildmine, he wasn't sure which casting he'd have.

Sorry Scott, I had to take an Ambien and a perkoset after the immigration thread. I was just wondering if you had tried thoes before moving on to the Klon.

I waffled between the Klon and the ZenDrive.

Just couldn't muster up the three and a half for it.

Pretty happy with the ZenDrive though. The DRRI I have just LURVES that pedal to peices.

If I don't like it, I'll just sell it on ebay for $50 more than I paid for it like all the other guys. I guess for some folks $50 is not too much extra to pay for getting it now versus 3 months from now.

Oh yeah? What is YOUR favorite overdrive?

BTW, I dig the Twin Tube Classic. I just don't know when it'll be high enough on my priorities list to pay that much. I really need a delay and a phaser first.

Got a few to be honest, but then again I always make new ones, one a week at times....I am an overdrive aholic:D
I am also going to try a few more exotic things drivewise, but just need some time for that;)

I've got the fever. And the only cure is more Klon. Actually, that's the pedal I wish Finnegan would make....a dual mode Klon, which is just 2 identical OD's in one box. It'd be nice if it were $200 too, but we know that wouldn't happen.

There a lot of good OD's out there, and most have a certain sound to them, or unique character of gain, and that's what a lot of players want....something with character. The thing about the Klon is that it just sounds like it improved the sound of your amp, no matter what amp you use. It's like your amp just got an increase in volume and gain, with a thickening of mids.......not a midspike, but full bodied mids. It sounds natural, tubey, and bouncy though, but it's not a signature sound....just a beefed up version of your amp. That's the attraction to the Klon. I still like other OD's too, just because they have a character that your amp doesn't have.

Scott, how would you characterize what the Twin Tube does, if "boost thing" isn't it? I thought that's what it did.
