If no one has addressed the problem to you personally, then the problem doesn't exist What are you supposed to guess if it's annoying or not?

This is what I was going to say, plus I agree with gearjoneser. It's a little bit of both. Be reasonable, but if they don't have the balls to complain, just bitch, then fark 'em. It pisses me off that people go out and buy cds and listen to their radio and enjoy their lovely music but then if they hear an actual musician practicing it's the end of the world. If you're practicing at a reasonable level at a reasonable hour, and they still bitch, these types of people should not listen to any kind of music at all.

only reason I say this is because I practice with a 50 watter at low volumes and only before 9pm. The one time she complained I told her that I didn't like hearing her scream and beat the **** out of her kids, and hearing them scream all the damn time. That was the end of it, I'd call the cops but it wouldn't do any good because there's no proof of it.

ya know, most neighbors have no problem starting up their lawnmowers at 7AM, or startgin in on that home improvement project, using saws and lots of loud stuff. (we can hear the saws in our amps by the way). but no one really complains about it. its considered the perils of living next to people. so is having kids, and all the loudness they create. so, a loud amp, during the day, when most peeps should be out doin somethgin is not a big deal.

I have a golden rule here. If I lived next door to Mike Tyson, would I hand him a set of earplugs. If the answer is 'no', then I won't hand them to a frail woman either. It's bullying - and it's wrong.

Didn't you say your girlfriend was an illegal immigrant? If so - what right does she have to slag off a US citizen? (I appologise if I've got that bit wrong and it was someone else said it).

Well let me change my opinion on this.....they are right if tis during a reasonable time then PLAY ON!!!!!!!! but if its at night or 7 am in thr morning try to be respectful, i mean ieven if nieghbors use lanw mowers at that time fo the day, its still disrespectful and you should be better than that!

Iv got a 120wtt Fender M-80 1/2 stack here at the house and never has a neighbor complained about the noise. But then its easier to get that hi gain at low volumes with a solid state amp too. Ever thought about a 10 - 15 wtt SS amp with some headphones ?
