I find myself using single coils 90% of the time (usually vintage neck and middle, and an overwound bridge) . . and I've found that the quarter pounder for strat gets the mid-boosted sort of sound I want from a humbucker for higher gain stuff with a more appealing character.

No 'buckers is no biggie.

I'm not a fan of singles or P-90's so I'd be pretty screwed. Singles are okay for some clean stuff but not the sound I like for hard hitting overdriven 80's rock and metal. But I still prefer the cleans of an HB.
