Suggestion for middle pickup in tele

I am building a three pickup Tele, basically a Nashville but not tex mex. I am thinking of using a Seymour Duncan str-1 for the neck and stl-1 for the bridge. Vintage but still versatile. Not TOO specific, like antiquities. So what would be a good middle pickup along the same lines? Something classic but not overly so and matching the vintage Tele pickup line?
Thanks!

ssl1 is a fine choice. maybe rw/rp to cancel hum in the notch positions

How about a vintage strat like the SSL1 (or 2 depending on your radius) or the APS-1 since it looks like you like the A2 sound.

ssl1 yeah nice...but make sure you wire it all up with a superswitch or sometihng like a push pull so you can still get that amazing tele neck and bridge tone. It's be a real shame to lose that.

FWIW I just posted in another thread a wiring for 8 positions in a Nashville tele with a 4 way switch and a mini toggle (or push pull)

Welcome! I recommend SSL-2m. STL-1 is a great pickup. But if you are a tele player that wants to rock, take a look at these bridge pickups: STL-1B, APTL-2, and JD.

I like the idea of a Five Two Strat pickup in the middle. It is a good alternative to the twangy bridge pickup and the darker neck. It is also rw/rp for hum-cancelling.
