Suggestions for Single Coils to Pair with a JB Antiquity for an HSS Custom Strat?

I plan on getting a custom HSS Strat made soon and am leaning towards going with a JB Antiquity in the bridge, which I've heard is a "better" and more clearer version of a JB, and possibly a Custom Stack Plus or Vintage Hot Stack Plus in the Neck and Middle. Thoughts? I considered the Quarter Pounders, but they seem to lean more in the P90 realm. I'd like something that's a hotter version of a single coil, but can still do relatively good single coil sounds. I also don't mind volume drop, but I want my bridge pickup to be good enough for some clean legato playing or solo runs.

Would those split well? My backup for the bridge would be a Bareknuckle Holydiver. Would it split well with those as well?

The two stacks you mentioned are what I came here to recommend. The stacks don't "split" as such. They have a dummy coil that cuts noise, and if you split the bridge humbucker to use with the middle stack, you'll want to turn off the dummy coil to get a noiseless middle position.

I think a common pairing with the JB has been the STK6 if its is an HS setup. So you could go for either 2 of them, or maybe add in vintage for the middle if you want a variety of outputs or tones throughout the switching operation.

With a 5 way switch though, I'm guessing they'd basically act just like a regular HSS?

Any main differences between the Custom and Vintage Hot Stack? I've listened to the sound samples on the website, but there don't seem to be too many differences between the two. The Custom just seems to have the higher output between the two?

If you want good Strat sounds, go with the Classic Stack. While the Hot or Custom will be closer in volume with the JB, the Classic Stack sounds like the most beautiful, ideal Strat pickup without hum.

A little food for thought here. If you run say a pair of Antiquities Surfer II real singles and use the RW / RP in the neck not the middle then split the bridge you will have humbucking in 1, 2 and 4 on a 5 way with some pretty convincing real Strat tones in 2-5. Also if you throw a Perpetual Burn in the bridge instead of a JB it will match the singles much better tonally and in output. I am a big fan of the PB and in particular love them split with singles.
| the Surfer II's will surprise you in how good they sound with gain. Here is my Washburn Silverado US Custom with Surfer II's over a track through my PRS Archon and absolutely no effects.
