Suggestions wanted for the scalloped neck partscaster

Re: Suggestions wanted for the scalloped neck partscaster

Warmoth makes scalloped necks, which are wonderful. There are a few companies, like DC Custom, which specializes in scalloping the neck you provide.

I'm buying a cheap Chinese neck to see if I even like it. If I do, I'll do it on a different guitar with a better neck.

Well, for pickups...it is as varied as the tone you are going for, which you didn't say. I like pretty warm tones, so on mine I have an Alnico II Pro and Custom Custom, which can both be split.

I like warm and crunchy but I want to be able to get that plucky sound too

Thinking about a 59 or lil 59 in the bridge, a duckbucker in the middle.. maybe a screaming demon in the neck.

You’re gonna want a Slug, an El Diablo and a Dimebucker in that; because you want it all.

HSS with singles in neck/middle and a lily screamin demon in the bridge.

Add a clapton setup to it.

Lots of variation in sound with that.

Super clean to over the top with a spin of a few knobs.
