Suhr Thornbucker Plus under high gain?

I've been pondering a different set of pickups for my '16 Gibson Les Paul Standard. Awhile back I swapped out the stock BB Pros for a Duncan Custom and Jazz neck. One of my very favorite pickup combos, but I've noticed that this LP is a little more open and airy when compared to my Epiphone Les Paul Custom (MIK). So, I've been looking at pickups that are a little more towards the vintage end of the spectrum.

I think I have it narrowed down to a Thornbucker Plus for the bridge and a Thornbucker neck. They seem to be a little ballsier than the BBs, and they sound great in every demo I've heard. But haven't been able to find anything with them under high gain. Anybody have one? Will it pull off occasional chugging? The lowest tuning they'd see would be straight D/dropped C.

I'd like to know the same thing. Considering those pickups, myself.

I have the neck in my Charvel San Dimas... waiting on the bridge to get here. So far I've been impressed with the neck pickup. It handles high gain very well. I'll make a clip once the Thornbucker + gets here.
