Hi all,
I did some amp demo'ing for Voodoo Amps at Summer NAMM last week. During this time we shot some iPhone video of the new amp designs.
This is the brand new Voodoo Mid Drive. As the name suggests it's not as high gain as some other amps out there (for instance, the Voodoo V-Rock which I'll post later).
Keep in mind this is 9a.m. at NAMM & the volume police are mighty wielders of the dreaded decibel meter LOL, so the amp was nowhere near cranked.
I'm playing a '92 MIM Fender Stratocaster that is Duncan Forum relevant as it's loaded with Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge, Classic Stack in the middle and Vintage Stack in the neck. You may see some pedals on the floor - only the Boss DD-6 is running through the Mid Drive's tube effects loop. The other pedals aren't in the signal path at all.
Notice how, even at low volume it's relatively easy to coax some sweet feedback, as well as the harmonics just jumping off the fretboard. Also notice how sweet it cleans up when rolling back the volume pot.
I hope you enjoy!
