Sunday Jam

Re: Sunday Jam

I find it easier to use the DR3 seperately...Yes the DR3 rhythms are good enough..You can set the DR3 to run in auto mode and it can do all the verses, fills, and add variations w/out any further programing..With the BR80 you have to program each pattern..I Like to keep it simple so I can create and not get too bogged down with the technology. ;o)

I hear you on that. I didn't realize that the BR80 required programming the drum tracks, that is, no preset patterns. I'm looking at the Boss Micro BR, it seems that has preset drum patterns. I'm a simple guy, so that would work for me.

Dug that track...nice recording, and my kind of jam!

In the BR-80 you have the ability to set up(in measures) Intro, verses, fills, breaks and endings..You have to sit down and write down how you'd like the rhythm patterns to play out...It's easy to dial that in once you know how your song structure plays out..The DR3 already has pre-programmed rhythms that you can literally press auto and start, and it plays through all of the changes..This makes it very easy to pickup your guitar and create and not have to deal with the techie side of things..Last night I also dialed some drum rhythms in using solely the BR-80 and it wasn't too hard, plus, just like the DR3,there are alot of variations as far as intros, verse changes, cool fills, and endings...The drum beats in the BR-80 I think sound better also..I payed next to nothing for the DR3 and so it's cool to have both units to mess with.
