Sunny!! Played cloudy...

Aww, I can't play melodies anymore...at least not over this one. :rocket:

How do you guys let the guitar sound so "stereo" ? Double the tracks, pan it and change the phase by 180°? My guitar part sounds so fixed in the middle, although I panned the track a bit to the left.

Ibanez RG2570 with Air Norton and Breed, MI Audio Tube Zone through Engl Screamer (less mids and bass on the amp, will change the tubes for non JJ to get less mid and bass bump) and a 10$ singer mic.

And here a real cool version by Mr Howe: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edVbz_uXJd0

Re: Sunny!! Played cloudy...

A bit of stereo echo on the guitar might help position the image more.[In the mix]
Maybe pan the rythym more to the opposite channel.

Re: Sunny!! Played cloudy...

That was fun - nice jobs without ever letting the melody get too far out of reach ... very well done!

Re: Sunny!! Played cloudy...

Always nice having fresh tunes to listen to while browsing the forum. Great playing as always, you and a few of the others make it look like a breeze to play to backtracks.

Re: Sunny!! Played cloudy...

Hehe cool Adrian!
That combo of a setup is nice sounding, almost have that funny midrange as Matthias Eklund gets out of his Laney setup.
Once again..way cool track!
