I've seen a set of these for sale, what guitars are they good in, and what styles do they suit?
She likes Maiden, Priest, Kiss, and early Van Halen
Set-neck Destroyer means Mahogany body in every case that I'm aware of. Do you know what pickups are in there now? Most of the set-neck 2000s Destroyers came with a Tone Zone in the bridge and an Air Norton in the neck. Compared to the TZ, the SuperD is going to be a bit brighter and have a bit more "normal"-sounding harmonics rather than the "vowel-y" harmonics that most more modern DiMarzios have. Similar story with PAF Pro vs. Air Norton.Further info- my fiancée has a 2000s Ibanez Destroyer, I'm assuming lower end of the scale. Set maple neck, rosewood board, mystery body. She likes Maiden, Priest, Kiss, and early Van Halen, so I know the Super D is probably perfect. Not sure about the PAF Pro though, I thought the 36th Anniversary model was the usual partner?
Raise the poles. Use 1 Meg pots.Guys! The Super Distortion is an amazing pickup but I do have a question, how can I get it to ''cut more'' for leads?

Well, they work for anyone who likes them in any guitar that they out them in! Let the ears decide.
SuperD in Destroyer will rock righteously. Maiden, priest, Kiss, etc....no brainer.
As for the PAF Pro....might be a little middy. I really like it in a Strat style neck. Can't say about Explorer styles.
Not if it's a set-neck; the low-end Destroyers were bolt-ons. There was one midrange model they made with Asian pickups for not very long, but the vast majority of set-neck Destroyers from the 2000s have the TZ/AN combo.I would assume it's one of the lower-spec models, with Asian-made pickups. She took them out a while ago when she was doing something to the guitar, they're hanging around, but I'm pretty sure they're not Dimarzio.
