I definitely prefer a superstrat.
Especially "neck-thru" ones.

I just like the
24 frets.
H/H config.
Heeless design.
Deep cutaways.
Floyd Rose.
Jumbo frets.

My Superstrats are all around workhorses.
Where as my LP type guitars are used for specific tunes.

Superstrats always seem to me to be able to allow the player to perform the largest range of techniques.

They usually play well, and have all the needed hardware in the right places.

They just work for me. If someone wants something else, thats ok. I just don't want to be limited by my guitar.

I like strats. I like how they feel. I love how they look. I like the look of vintage strats, but I want a humbucker voice in the bridge position, and I want a guitar that stays in tune. I want a guitar that doesn't weigh a ton. I want a guitar that can cover a wide variety of music. I believe it's possible to have a guitar that offers all that, plus a more playable neck, and that still sounds great. A good superstrat does those things.

Got no stock strats...again;)
Just cannot stop making them "super":D
HW-1 with an APH-2 plus two SE singles, my Kramer Pacer Deluxe is as super as it comes, my old Tokai is a real frankenstrat...super indeed:D
But I still want a stock one as I love sss setup too.

Criteria for a super strat:

At least one humbucker. SC size count but only for half a criteria
If the bridge pickup is an SC size humbucker, it needs a Floyd or a full working tremolo.
Need to be stratoid in shape (NOT PRS LIKE)
Pointy is better.
Floyd is God.
Bolt on + Floyd + pointy = THE Super strat.
