Supporting hardware for Strat setup - help

Hello,

Looking to put the following combo into a MIJ HSS strat:

SH-6 bridge
Cool rails middle
Hot rails neck

I'm thinking 250k pots (this model has one tone pot only), and a .047 cap, would this be a reasonable setup? And should I consider any other switch setup (5-way) than neck, neck+middle, middle, middle+bridge, bridge?

(I should add that I have a Tele with single coils, and another strat with single coils, so just looking for something to play heavier stuff with here...)

cheers!

Well, technically those pups will give you an HHH Strat not as HSS.

I would use 500k pots rather than 250k. You could use the .047 cap but a .022 might give you a little better response.

Thanks! Yeah, I meant it was originally HSS. :-) I was going off a wiring diagram that suggested .047 but I know the single coil sized rails don't really act like a "proper" humbucker so wanted to ask. 500k + .022 will basically brighten up the sound a bit, yes?
