I just got my surfer custom bridge.Also got a normal surfer that was suppossed to of been a rw/rp but Ill just order that I guess.Anyhow I installed the bridge and just left the ssl-1s in place for now.Good lord!This is what a strat should sound like.Since I got my Jimmy Vaughn strat I tried many pickups,Texas hot,twang banger,ssl-5,ssl-3 and the ssl-1s.Never quite got me there.Well Im there now
Im gonna order the surf middle and finish the set.I was always afraid the surfers would be to bright in the bridge(the ssl-1s sound good in the middle and neck)but I was wrong.Clear and articulate,slightly bright the way its suppose to be.My Throbak fuzz sounds so much nicer with the surfer than the ssl-3 I had in there.Finally Im happy with my strat tone.Just thought you all should know:arms: :smokin: Jason
