i noticed that when i have my dishwasher on and i'm playing i can hear the dishwasher pump motor interfere with my amp. i bought a surge protector and it sounds good now while i wash dishes. no noise.

thanks again erik.i'm looking at the PL-PLUS D II power conditioner and the PM-8 II . other than an amp meter on the last one ,i don't know how much different these two are. but its kinda my price range.

wow, lots here. I am just pointing out the inevitable and obvious: if you get the power conditioner, you should store it within a rack. That would make your amp setup more bulky to move around. Definitely get a surge protector if you dont get the power conditioner.
